Headwaters Picnic Area

This picnic area provides a picturesque backdrop of native trees and ferns. Enjoy a peaceful serenade from the Headwaters stream as it winds its way through the City Park.

Lower Picnic Area

This is a great site for larger groups - picnics, receptions, gatherings, or reunions. Located at the south end of the City Park. Surrounded by beautiful trees and plenty of lawn area for the kids. Take a short walk to the creek & explore the park's nature trails.

Rotary Picnic Area

A beautiful picnic spot for groups & families - large BBQ pit, power, & close to the playground & restrooms. Shastice Parks' largest picnic area, there is plenty of room for your whole group.

Playground Picnic Area

A perfect spot for birthday parties or a small group picnic. The adjacent playground and a large grassy lawn will keep the kids entertained all day with plenty of room to run & play. Close to restrooms and parking.

Picnic Area #1

This lovely shaded area, at the entrance to Shastice, provides a picnic space with plenty of room for outdoor games, a family gathering, or just a restful space to set up lawn chairs & blankets.

Reservation Fees:

 Request a picnic area by filling out the following form.

Submitting this request does not guarantee your reservation. A District staff member will contact you within 3 business days to move forward with your request. 

Reservations are finalized once the request is approved through by the MSRPD, a reservation form has been completed, and the reservation fee is received.  Reservations must be finalized no later than 30 days prior to your reservation date. 

Reserved signs, from the District, will be provided to be posted in the area reserved.
