Ice Rink 2011/2012

February 2012:

The Siskiyou Skate Rink is in transition and will be closed for the 2011-12 winter skating season.  Friends of the Rink (FOR) is working on long-term plans for the rink and a future re-opening.

You can help by completing a quick survey about the rink here: www.siskiyourink.org/survey.

Visit FOR’s new website at www.siskiyourink.org or visit FOR’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/rinkfriends to keep updated on what’s happening with the Rink and how you too can get involved. You can email FOR at rinkfriends@siskiyourink.org.

The Siskiyou Skate Rink is located in Shastice Park, in the City of Mt. Shasta, at the foot of beautiful, majestic, snow-covered Mt. Shasta. If you’re lucky you may even catch the mountain under a full moon. The rink is 85 feet wide and 185 feet long – the same size as National Hockey League rinks. Skating in an open-air rink is a thrill, especially with the magnificent Mt. Shasta scenery surrounding you!

Directions to the Siskiyou Skate Rink: Take the Central Mount Shasta exit which puts you on Lake Street. Drive east on Lake Street until it comes to a fork where you must follow the road to the left until you come to a 4-Way stop. Turn right on Rockfellow. Drive approximately 1/4 mile until you see the Shastice Park sign on the left.Turn into the park and the rink is next to the parking lot. Click here for a map!
